Displays latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, and direction. Export as a .kml

This sensor app measures and displays latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, and direction, with +/- accuracy and number of satellites.

Data is collected every 5 seconds. All data can be recorded and exported in an e-mail or through Google Drive as a .kml attachment. The data can be loaded onto any app that s .kml files, such as Google maps, Google Earth, etc.

This app can be especially useful for recording and superimposing traveled paths on digital maps, and can be used for educational activities to measure long distances and to measure instantaneous speed every 5 seconds to estimate average speed and acceleration. This app can be used to kinesthetically teach students about the addition and subtraction of vectors, and can be used in conjunction with Physics Toolbox Barometer to altitudes based upon atmospheric pressure, or in conjunction with Physics Toolbox Orientation to use trigonometry to measure the height of tall structures or even to estimate the circumference of the Earth using Eritosthenes' method.

Permissions Explained:

android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: A .kml file is created and modified on the phone's internal memory.
